Building a strong and transparent organizational culture is a key factor in conducting sustainable and trustworthy business operations—especially in the technology industry, which is driven by trust and accountability. Good Corporate Governance is therefore at the heart of building confidence among all stakeholders, including customers, partners, shareholders, employees, and society.
To elevate transparency standards, reduce corruption risks, and encourage everyone to adhere to business ethics, MFEC has established a “No Gift Policy,” a guideline regarding the giving and receiving of gifts or any other benefits. This ensures that business decisions are made based on professionalism, fairness, and integrity.
What is the No Gift Policy and Why Is It Important?
The No Gift Policy is an organizational guideline to “refrain from giving and receiving” gifts, tokens, or any other benefits that could cause misunderstandings or be interpreted as influencing business decisions.
It aims to:
- Reduce the risk of bribery or conflicts of interest
- Promote fairness in procurement and partner selection
- Maintain the trust of customers, partners, and shareholders
- Foster a transparent, accountable, and ethical work culture
No Gift Policy Guidelines
To ensure a consistent standard across the organization, MFEC has established the following clear practices:
1) Refraining from Accepting Gifts from Customers, Partners, and Related Parties
Employees at all levels must not accept gifts, tokens, or any form of benefit—whether during festive seasons or special occasions—to prevent misunderstandings and reduce the risk of allegations in business operations.
2) Expressing Goodwill Through Alternative Means
MFEC encourages expressing goodwill through transparent methods, such as email greetings, e-cards, or thank-you messages via appropriate communication channels instead of giving gifts.
3) Reporting and Submitting Unavoidable Gifts
If it is unavoidable to accept a gift due to legal requirements or social customs, employees must report and submit the gift to the relevant department for review in accordance with the organization’s procedures to ensure transparency and prevent potential concerns.
Request for Cooperation from Customers, Partners, and Employees
MFEC kindly requests cooperation from all customers, partners, and employees in complying with the No Gift Policy to uphold business ethics and good corporate governance standards together.
We believe that sustainable relationships are not built on gifts, but on
trust, professionalism, and transparent collaboration.
